Okay so me and my sister both want our belly bottons done. My mom says we need to be 18. Liek alot of my friends are getting theirs done. How could I convece my mom to let me get it done. I mean I have to be 14 to get my ears doubled! I mean her rules r so stricked! So help me and how to convince her!

I have my bellybutton done, my nose done, my ears 4 times each so far, and I have a tattoo on my lower back. I got my bellybutton done when i was 12 or 13! My mom is really great, so she really doesn't care about any of that stuff, but I think you should just do a lot of nice things for your mom. Show her that you and your sis really want to get your bellybuttons pierced. Maybe you could clean her house up a little bit, do some laundry, or wash dishes or something. Make a deal with her and ask her if you and your sis will be able to get your bellybuttons done if you guys do things around the house for her. You could also just try doing really good in school. When you get a really good grade on a test or homework assignment, show her! Maybe she'd give in. After showing her the assignment ask her if you can get it done. She'd be in a good mood, so it'd be a good time to ask her. I'm sure you have friends that have it done also, so you could bring one of them over your house one day and have them try to help you convince her to let you guys get yours done. just cuz your friends did it doesnt mean anything...you just want to feel included and cool and be like everyone else right? well most of the time nobodys going to see cuz you wear shirts to school, and when you are swimming during the summer and guys can see it...think about it. especially if its dangley, it will lead guys eyes right down to your crotch and thts just unneccessary considering that it sounds like you under the age of 14.
just wait till your 18 and if you still want it then get it then, it'll be worth it after the wait

im sure your mom is just doing these rules for your protection. also, just because everyone else has it pierced, doesnt mean you have to. you could try to be an individual too. you could talk to your mom and say that you think that you are mature enough to get your belly button pierced, and try to do more things to help her know that you have the responsibility. you could try and comprimise, like instead of 18, maybe your mom could change it to 16, with you talking to her.

yea, there are so many other things in this world that you can be arguing over with your parents. "everyone else is getting it down" is a really bad excuse parents don't care really. I'm 17 and my mom wont let me get mine pierced but really who cares? yea you do but you shouldnt why don't you wait to your 18?
You want your belly button pierced cause your friends all have it done. If they didn't you prb wouldnt even think about it.
just wait till your 18 and you can get the piercings you want.

belly button really isn't that bad. it's not like major face piercings so i think that you should explain that to her. maybe she can talk to your friend's moms about it since some of them got it done. maybe try showing her that you are responsible & you deserve getting it done. if she really doesn't want you to then you might juss have to wait until age 18.
