okay when i use microsoft word sometimes and i want to go add a word between 2 words it like goes over the 2nd work

example:

i want cheese pizza
i want morese pizza

^ thats what it does

how do i turn this off? like i was typing a paper and it just starting doing this halfway through my paper and it is driving me crazy

The usual keyboard shortcut to this is 'Insert'. I often press 'Insert' accidentally therefore turning this setting on. So watch when you're typing that you don't accidentally press the key to turn this setting on.

you could either turn off the over write but an easier way that i usually do is press "insert" key on your keyboard (its by the delete key) press that and it should work..hope i helped!

It's on over type. Look at the very bottom of Word and see where it says "OVR"? Just click on that.
