is it natural to have random phases of depressioin. not serious depression, just feel down for a while, and then just get better for no reason.

I don't know that you get better for no reason. Something just changed your mood!

But, yes almost everyone has moments of depression. Most of the time it goes away all on its own.

The only time you need worry is if it drags on for a long time and just doesn't go away at all.:)
