can someone help me find a site that tells me how the Zuni tribes from the 1800s provided for themselves (were they hunters and gatherers, traders, agriculturalists...?). i already tried google and stuff but i have to read this huge, long page thing and still can't find that one bit of information quickly. someone help please? thanks! p.s. don't tell my the answer, just tell me a site i can go to, or if you DO tell me the answer, then tell me the name of the site! please! thankz!

This is why the ancient Puebloan people lived in the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde - for protection while their crops grew on the tops of the mesas. Even if you can't find examples of the Zuni directly, you can find cross references from the Hopi and Pueblo tribes.
One of the problems that you're going to run into is that the era you're looking at is simply not well documented, for many reasons (some of which are horrible due to how the 'white men' treated all the native people).
as for links:
I searched "Zuni 1800 History" and got a crapload of useful information (once you filter out all the stuff on jewelry and clowning [no, really]).
