i now know im not authistic but can you give any information about what intruding mental issue i might have....? I have paranoid schizophrenia and obsessive compulsive dissorder; also previously diagnosed for social phobia.

Maybe give some free advice about: Mental health? luckybutt32 answered Wednesday December 7 2005, 12:57 am: well i think it all goes hand in hand ,you seem to have multiple diagnosis. ya see the social phobia plays a key role in the anxiety you feel. are you taking meds? some side effects from meds may worsen the feelings including raising the blood pressure and causing more anxiety. if you are taking meds you should tell your doctor that you are feeling intense anxiety. also the compulsions can add to it. have you tried zoloft?you should be on an antidepressent at least for a trial period. again im not a doctor but i do work with people that have dual diagnosis all day and i study chart and document thier behaviors . also i really think you need cognitive behavior therapy which would relax you in certain social settings. go to at health.com to read more about social phobia. what it is is gradually introducing you to social settings slowly till you feel at ease. baby steps so to speak. also i dont know how you feel about yoga(i dont know if you are male or female lol)but yoga relaxs all of your body or practice breathing techniques. i know that alot of my clients benefit immensely from sensory therapy. you should get massage and it sounds weird but little things send signals to the brain. for instance if you smell certain things it will do certain things to the mood of a person. i feel little home remedies to help your sensory input will help like smelling the shaved rine of an orange. orange has the ability to wake up the brain causing an eurphoric feeling which will not only relax you but make your confidence higher in certain situations. as far as the compulsions i believe in baby steps . omg i could go on and on about compulsions i have a guy in my class that if you move one thing in our classroom he will go wild rearranging furniture to get it back to how we had it before. he took the christmas tree down today because it wasnt familuar. anyways if i didnt hit on any of the questions you have i apologise feel free to write me anytime. also look up developmental disabilities. just type that in your search bar. also look up sensory therapy and cognitive behavior therapy. good luck [ luckybutt32's advice column | Ask luckybutt32 A Question ]
