Family Presents

Question Posted Saturday December 3 2005, 2:04 pm

Hey. I need a lot of help with deciding what to get my family for christmas. First of all, I know that I have to get my mom 2 presents because her birthday is December 29, and my dad also needs 2 because his birthday is December 21. I already have the gifts for all of my siblings. I've asked my mom and dad what they want and they said, "You being with me for Christmas." So I have no clue what to get them. I don't spend much time with my mom so I don't even know what she would like, and my dad is kind of the same..What should I get? Thank you.

-I rate high for anything unobvious-

mom-a necklace/bracelet, perfume, slippers, pjs, gift card to her favorite store, her favorite book, favorite movie, a cd, makeup (if she's into that.), gift card to a day at the spa with massage/face mask/pedicure/manicure, a picture she can hang in the house, blanket, cookbook, hammock, candy.

dad-favorite movie, favorite book, cd, a planner book (im not sure the exact name of that but it's just where you keep dates and important events in a small book, good for work.), a fancy pen, pjs, gift card to favorite store, a sweater, paper weights, apron/utensils for when he grills, sports ball (if he's into a sport, for example a soccer ball or basketball or golf balls), favorite candy

i hope this helps you.

You do not need two present (4 each) for each of them. They know you do not have much money. I think they want you to keep your money for something else. I would however get them one gift each. When in doubt chocolates, books, work. It is probably best to go in and get gift cards.

Your father might want a Best Buy gift card, or Home Depot one etc. As for your mother perfume, scented candles etc. Book store gift cards are great too.

Some kids get imaginative and hand out coupon books of chores or favors they will do such as babysitting that can be used by the parent at any time. If artistic you can also design your gift or do crafts. There are many sites on the net to help you make useful but decorative house hold items online for Christmas.

someone said gift certificates for places they like, but since you dont really know what they like thats still hard, they have these visa gift cards, what they are is giftcards that work anywhere you go, not just one specific store,go to www.giftcards.com to get one

well, you could always do a build-a-bear, and get some candy canes or a picture of you and your mom (you and your dad for the other one if you decide...idk lol) and put them in a little stocking for the bear to hold. if thats not a good idea, then maybe do something they both can enjoy, like take them out to dinner the day after christmas, since most places are closed on christmas.
or get them tickets to something they may have an interest in, but that might depend on where you live. my cousin got her parents tickets to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra ([Link](Mouse over link to see full location)) and they said it was amazing.
im somewhat out of ideas, ill keep thinking go, and possibly add some ideas later
♥
