where do i put it?

Question Posted Saturday December 3 2005, 9:09 am

I have my period and I need to work from 10-4. This isn't a problem in school because I can put pads in my backpack - no big deal. But at work I don't know what to do. If I put it in my purse that's no good, my purse gets left in an office that's not near the bathroom. any other ideas? thanks!

Keep it in your back pocket, or if you have a jacket you can keep near you..Put it in that pocket.

put one in your pocket or put one in the bathroom where no one can see it. like hide it somewhere and make sure you go there before going into the stall. make sure it's a place where you can go before just walking into the stall because if someone else is in there, you dont want to look crazy.

I don't mean to seem like I'm judging you for wearing pads. I'm not. Many girls/women prefer them. But how about trying tampons...OBs, for example, are tiny and easy to stash away almost anywhere. OK, but if you really prefer pads - and again, that's OK - then you might want to do one of three things:
1) dash into the office on your way to the bathroom if the office doesn't stay locked;
2) buy a SMALL, pretty zippered make-up bag at your local pharmacy and fold a pad or two and put them into the tiny make-up bag (depending on how thick they are). If you wear pockets, this would fit nicely in a pocket and no one would know what's in it, should he or she see it for some reason;
3) if the bathroom is a private workers' bathroom, then try putting a couple of pads in a pretty gift bag or even a small brown paper bag (like the kind you buy for brown-bag lunches) and put it on a shelf or in a cabinet, providing one or the another is available in the bathroom (this would probably work even if the bathroom is open to the public).

use tampons - you can keep them in for six hours. for backup, buy those light pantiliners (like "always" thin) and put a couple in your pocket - they're practically invisible. or you can just go by the office and grab your purse - it's not embarrasing, it's normal for girls to go to the restroom with our purses - to put our makeup or hairspray on, for lotion or deodorant, or to use our pads.

**EDIT: okay, i'm sorry, i wrote "for 6 hours," but i should have said "for up to 6 hours." sorry.

If you wear thin pads you can just put one in your pocket. You can't notice it. But, when ever you need to change why not just say you need to use the restroom and make a pit stop in the office to grab your purse?

Hmm.. I think you could put it in a small wallet. I know it might seem like no help, but you can put the wallet in your pocket.
Hope i helped.

This may sound weird, but you can always slip pads into your shoe. This way you know there's no possible way of anyone seeing it. Another way is just try and wear pants that have pockets. You can always wear a super pad that will hold more. Hope I helped!
