math! slope-intercept ALL FIVES FOR WHOEVER TRIES TO HELP!!!!
i'm doing a math project and i need real-life examples/uses for slope-intercept form(y=mx+b).
i really need this in like the next 30 min!! please help! all fives!

Ok, The roof of the house is a great example
y=mx+b
For every 2 feet the roof goes up, it goes 1 foot toward the center
Since slope = Rise over run 2/1 would be it in this example
b is the y intercept so say the rige line is the y axis... Say the roof intersects it at (0,6) and intersects the roof tile line at (2,0)
So...
y=2/1(2)+6
From that equation u can see the slope, the x intercept and the y intercept..
2/1 = Slope (m)
2 = X intercept (x)
6 = y intercept (b)
I jus graphed it.. thats one ugly roof ]
ummm im sorry i suck at math. but lets see here..what about finding something that relys on something else. cause they rely on each other. so like a profit at a rate of products or time. kinda hard to explain..sorry i tried ]
Maybe a stairway or a ramp.
y= slope of the stairway x + y-intercept.
Hope it helped? ]
