iNSPRION 1200

Question Posted Saturday November 26 2005, 10:10 pm

Ok. I have a Dell Inspiron 1200. yes, It is a laptop. I use it all the time and when I use it, I use it for more then 9 hours straight. And Don't say give it a rest, because I use the laptop for my job, so it doesn't get to get turned off just when I want to.

I sit in a room tempature room. Whatever I do, The laptop gets extremly hot, and doesn't function properly. Im sure its tired but I have no choice.

When I turn it on it takes awhile for the desktop to load and to get my programs to load because the computer is hot from the beginging (sp?). I need a technique to get rid of this so my Laptop will work properly

Everyone will get a 5. if its the wrong answer, thats ok.. you will get a 5 anyways. My computer is only 4 months old. Is pretty new, and does not have spyware, viruses, ect. yes, I have macaffe that checks for that.

Thanks in advance.

Back when I was in 'Nam, we used to pee on our guns when they'd become too hot. It'd cool them down, so there wouldn't be barrell warp, and still be able to defend the free world from communists.

To be honest, I researched this a little bit, and I only found this from about.com: Use a laptop stand to disburse heat that your laptop generates. Laptop stands are available in a variety of styles to suit your working needs. There are laptop stands which include fans to help disburse the heat and keep your laptop working at its best.

And here's a link for things like that:
