iiAdOrEyOuxOh answered Saturday November 26 2005, 9:22 pm: it all depends on what you mean about "more confident" like if you mean, more confident just about how you feel about yourself, and your worryed about what other people think about you, i mean okay i know the next thing i say is gunna be harder than it sounds but just kinda stop caring what other people think about you, it took me a whole year and maybe a lil longer to finally get that through my mind but when you actually get to the point where your about to burst, think to yourself, is it worth it?? i didnt think so, i just simply stopped caring, only the real people that care about me know the real me and i dont need to hide behind all those rumors and it feels so good!! well, i had someone to talk to about just anything and im not sure if you do, but that person really helped me alot!

Annerszz_101 answered Saturday November 26 2005, 7:16 pm: Try this stragegy.
Do the follwing:
1. get out a piece of paper.
2. at the top, put THINGS I LIKE ABOUT ME!
3. write down the things you like about yourself.
4. skip a couple lines & write THINGS I DISLIKE ABOUT ME!
5. write down things you dont like about yourself.
6. re read them and then skip some lines
7. write MY GOALS!
8. put some things you wish to try to do in a couple of weeks//days//months.
like. if you think you're fat.. try a new exercise plan && a new food plan. like. if you always eat foods like cookies, chips, etc. try eating sald BEFORE eating them. salad makes you full faster, which will stop you from eating as much junk food.
hopeihelped answered Saturday November 26 2005, 5:53 pm: It depends in what way you're not confident.
Say you don't like how stupid you are. Study it up and make sure that you're always doing your homework. If you try hard, you'll suceed.
Say you don't like your appearance. Maybe you're too fat, or too skinny; too tall, or too short; not fashionable, a fashion victim; have too curly hair, have compeltely straight hair; don't wear enough make-up, wear too much make-up. You get the picture. If you don't like your appearance, work it out with yourself without changing yourself so much that you don't even resemble yourself. And make sure you're making the changes for yourself, not anyone else who doesn't approve.
Basically, if all else fails, make a list. Grab a piece of paper and fold it in half. One side is the pros, the other the cons. Now, write down all of the pros and cons of yourself. Once you're finished, split the paper in half. Post the pros list on your ceiling, it's nice to fall asleep and wake up to. Put the cons away somewhere safe. Work on these until they become pros. Once you've reached your goal, tear that paper up. You're a winner. [ hopeihelped's advice column | Ask hopeihelped A Question ]
elliajean1214 answered Saturday November 26 2005, 5:34 pm: picture the person at your school that you admire most. What does that person do that you don't do? Do you think the reason that youre not as condfident as you'd like to be is because of something like your body or clothes or your grades? Try and fix those things. I'm not as confident in my body because im very underweight, but its easy to fix something like that. Just try your hardest in everything you do and you will be more confident in yourself.
