Question Posted Thursday November 24 2005, 3:38 am
Hey guys,
I have black hair and brown eyes, and I have dark hair on my upper lip. It is really ruining my life, because I'll never be able to get a boyfriend with it there. I really need help, but I don't know what to use. I'm not going to shave it off, because then it'll just grow back in thicker and darker. I would get it waxed, but the problem is that I don't constantly go to the hair cutting place for my hair to get cut and my eyebrows waxed, so that would suck to not be able to get there when I need it waxed again. I was going to try bleaching it, but I'm not sure if I'll look stupid or not since I have black hair. What exactly do the bleaching kits do? Does it lighten the hair a lot, to where you wouldn't even be able to tell that I have hair there? Also, how often do you have to bleach it if I choose to do that? Or do I only have to do that once? I really need help. I'm sick of people making fun of me. My life sucks right now, and I was just crying tonight because of this. I really hope someone can help me. I need to do something with this hair on my upper lip or else I'll never get a boyfriend. I'm not comfortable with it there. Would it still matter to guys if I bleached it and just had lighter hair there? I have no idea what to do, and I'm scared to go to the store to buy whatever I need. I will not talk to my parents about this, because they don't wanna hear these types of things, and I wouldn't even feel right talking to my sister about this. Someone please help me. If you've ever shaved, waxed, or bleached your upper lip please let me know. My life is ruined. I would like to know what would be the best thing to do, and I'm not sure because I think bleaching would be the best out of the three. So again, how often would I have to bleach it and will I never be able to get a boyfriend if guys see hair there still? If anyone can, please help me out. Just answer my questions even though there's tons of them on here, and let me know what product would be best. Has anyone ever tried using the Sally Hansen bleaching kit? How would I be able to get my sis to go to the store and get this for me? I'm so sorry this is so long. I really need help, or else I will not be able to live with myself anymore. I feel so ugly, and I hate my life because of it. No stores are open tomorrow are there, since it's Thanksgiving? Would a store like Walgreens thats open 24 hours usually be open tomorrow? I need to buy something as soon as possible. :( Does everyone get this hair on their upper lip usually or am I just weird and ugly? I wanna die. Please help :(

FilipinoPrincess answered Thursday November 24 2005, 1:49 pm: one problem though...you have black hair and bleaching doesnt really work for dark hair colors it usually does work for blondes or lighter hair color. dont worry ive gone to the same thing as you because i used to have a lot of upper lip hair but you know what you should do is wax the whole thing off first and then when it starts growing you can take a tweezer(eyebrow plucker) and pluck off those extra hairs..its simple and it doesnt hurt and it really works. malibubarbiie111 answered Thursday November 24 2005, 11:38 am: the bleach should make the hair invisible.* to where you don`t even notice it. every girl has hair on their face. but depending on the genes && stuff. that will determine how much && how dark it will be.* walgreens should be open today!! not 24 hours tho. maybe till like 5:30 or something. i hope you find something that will work.* HAPPY THANKSGiViNG!! ♥x0x [ malibubarbiie111's advice column | Ask malibubarbiie111 A Question ]

rainbowNsunshine91 answered Thursday November 24 2005, 10:05 am: *happy thanksgiving!* try this website too [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) on this website, there is a thing called SUGARING, using hot sugar and a cloth to get rid of hair (DON'T TRY IT UNTIL YOU VISIT THE WEBSITE AND READ THE INSTRUCTIONS) Don't cry :( don't feel ugly either. DON'T SHAVE YOUR FACE!!!!!!!!!!! Wax or bleach it. About the bleaching cream, I bleach it every 3 weeks or month. the hair gets REALLY light!! Like the color of your skin so it isn't noticable!!!!! I just thought of this BUY NAIR FOR THE UPPER LIP, ITS IN A SKINNY CAN. JUST GO TO CVS OR WALLGREENS AND LOOK FOR NAIR, DO NOT GET THE NAIR IN THE BOTTLES BECAUSE THAT CANNOT GO ON YOUR FACE. IT GETS RID OF THE HAIR WITH NO STUBBLE AND A SOFTER UPPER LIP!!!!! BUT I ADVISE YOU TO BLEACH FIRST SO WHEN YOU GET RID OF THE HAIR, YOU DON'T SEE WHERE THE HAIR USED TO BE << VERY CONFUSING BUT THAT'S HOW IT GOES! P.S. I have the sally hansen cream hair bleach {for face}, I bought it for like $4.00! It comes with activator, bleach, a mixing tray, and a little applicator. Great buy! Everyone gets the hair on the upper lip. YOU SHOULD BE LUCKY THAT YOU AREN'T GROWING A BEARD LOL kidding. I hope I helped, visit my advice column for more help :) [ rainbowNsunshine91's advice column | Ask rainbowNsunshine91 A Question ]
