Question Posted Thursday November 17 2005, 8:46 pm
I'm a decent singer, but there's this big problem I have. From the E in the middle of the staff on up, it's REALLY hard for me to sing ending consanants. I'm singing a song called "I Wish It So" and it's got this high G and the phrase is "in the shape of love or life" and I'm having difficulty singing "shape." I can sing the note very easily, but not with an ending consonant. Can anyone help me?
Additional info, added Friday November 18 2005, 12:49 am: The other phrase I'm having difficulty with is "it's bound to come" . Want to answer more questions in the Hobbies category? 1. Everynight sing for about 20 mintues diffrent songs that are really high. If it's difficult to sing becouse it's high sing it anywya. And to like for 10 mintues that exercise to streatch your voice. Just go as high as uyo can, and then when u hit the high not go a whole step down, then half step up and up again and up again, if it's hard go half a step down and try to sing higher... It'll streatch ur voice in short amount of time. Oh yeah try not to sing low nots for a while.
2. Change the note to soemthing lower... talk to a teacher abotu the change. [ shining_star's advice column | Ask shining_star A Question ]

If the song is fast, pretend that the lyrics go "in the shay pov love or life". If the song is slower, or you're slurring too much, it's a little harder, but try to pretend that the p in shape is the beginning of a new word. I have no idea if this will work for you, but it's worked for me in the past. I hope I helped and good luck! [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]
