I don't have bad acne anymore, but I got a few spots here & there sometimes. But, in 7th grade I tried out ProActiv, because it looked like the best stuff on the shelves. But turned out to be CRAP! Like, it took away some pimples, but it was such a hassle to spend like 10 mins before going to bed, having to put all this crap on your face. Plus, it made my skin, dry. So my skin would peel all the time. It was nasty.
There's this stuff called. "bye bye blemish" you can get it @ CVS, or Walgreens. It's about $14. It works like magic, seriously it's like awesome. & it's definitely worth the forteen dollars, + you might get it cheaper. There's "Clean & Clear" Dual Action Moisturizer, $5-$6. It treats & prevents pimples, plus moisturizes your skin. Which you'll need because just using like a cream to get rid of your pimples doesn't help really, because you still need that one moisturizer, which I highly recommend this one, it's awesome.
And for your pimple cream, I'd definitely use "Clearasil Ultra, Acne treatment cream - vanishing." It's great. seriously.
And I just use soap for cleansing my face @ first, because I use a moisturizer so my face doesn't dry up therefore it doesn't matter. :)
