Reconditioned Mobile/Cell Phones

Question Posted Sunday November 6 2005, 9:26 am

Hey,
I was phone-shopping online and I noticed that you can get some phones that are 'reconditioned' and are about £20 cheaper than ordinary models. What does this 'reconditioned' mean? I assume it means it's already been owned/has been made from parts of old phones, but what exactly does it entail? Will the phone work as well? Is the price low simply because people don't want a previously used phone or will the phone be of a lower quality? Are there any big pros or cons to buying a reconditioned phone?

i have a reconditioned phone. its "reconditioned" because some guy bought it, didnt like it because the buttons were too small, and brought it back. it was still a new phone. the price is lower, which is a major pro, because somebody had bought it, didnt like it, and returned it. there isn't anything wrong with them, they just weren't what the person who originally bought it wanted.:)
