ok, you both obviously lik him... alot. he must be hott!!! you can never get anyone to stop liking anyone... i hate that. You both havent made any moves towards him... MAKE THE FIRST MOVE!!! compliment him, and just say hi and hang out with him. Your friend may hate you, but she WILL get over it! boys dont last forever!!! just tell that boy you sorta like him... SORTA (even tho its a lie) unless u feel comfortable saying the blunt truth. maybe tell your friend her and SO-n-SO look good together and that he likes her... or find someone that likes her.
come to think of it... tell the boy hes cute, and get OTHER friends to see if he likes you.
