Actually the song is about a prostitute. The boy loves the girl, but the girl can't love the boy, because she must make money to survive. Watch Moulin Rouge, and you'll get it. And it's called Roxanne. It was originally done by the Police.

It's about a relationship between a girl and a boy and I guess he's not exactly being there for her and caring about her as much as he does her. And she's talking about how he doesn't understand how much she loves him and wants to be with him and must not understand her at all. And she says " I guess loneliness found a new friend, here I am " she must be feeling alone. Basically a girl is getting ignored and unloved by her boyfriend. I hope I helped!
