For face makeup (Concealer, Foundation, Coverup, Bronzer, Powder, etc.) Make sure you get the right color. The only way to get a color that matches your skin tone completley, is to have a professional help you choose it. In department stores like Dillards, Macy's, Burdines, Filenes, etc. Have employees at different counters in the makeup aisle. Ask them to help find a color that matches your skin tone, they'll even put it on you for free. Once you have that, make sure you blend the makeup into your neck and hairline so there is no horrible makeup line. As for natural looking mascara, don't buy black. If you have dark hair, purchase a brown mascara. If you have blonde or any color light hair, get a clear mascara.

For a natural look just use some foundatione (make sure it matches your skin shade) and apply that after that use blush like on your cheeks, forehead,(any place that you would get red from by the sun) but dont use alot.. same thing with the bronzer dont put it all over your face just cheeks and even it out and for mascara dont apply on the bottom lashes and use a little bit of black eyeliner and it should work ... Mostly just try to pick colors that go with your skin tone, and underlying skin tones, for example I have a pale skintone and pink underlying tone. So I use mauves, browns, pinks, and neutrals. If you don't know what colors you are then just go with neutrals, browns, tans, gray, and some whites. Mascara use black or brown. To apply just do as normal, but use only brushes, no sponge applicators. Bronzer, just brush on lightly, on cheekbones, little on chin and nose very light on those places, and some on your chest for a glow.
Also for the natural look, try to use mineral make-up like Bare Minerals, those are really good cosmetics, they don't clog pores. Hope I helped
