I got a DELL POCKET DJ for christmas last year. I haven't really been using it lately but now I want to. Anyways, on my computer I use DELL MUSICMATCH JUKEBOX PLUS to listen to music and put songs onto my DELL POCKET DJ. Okay, so I put all the songs I wanted onto my DJ and all 172 songs are on there. But, when I press "PLAY ALL MUSIC TRACKS" on my DJ, not all of the tracks play and I don't know why. Then, when I press "VIEW ALL TRACKS", all of my songs are there but then when I press play it only plays that one song and does not allow me to scroll down to view any other songs, in order to play another song I would have to go back and press "VIEW ALL TRACKS" again and so on. I don't know how to fix this problem and I don't know if it has something to do with the DJ itself or the DELL MUSICMATCH JUKEBOX on my computer. If anybody knows how I can get all my songs into the "PLAY ALL MUSIC TRACKS", please tell me and I'd glady appreciate it. 5's to anybody who answers! (=
To get all of your tracks to appear in a Dell DJ, every mp3 MUST contain an album name in the ID3 tag. If that field is empty, the Dell DJ firmware will fail to automatically load it into the playlist. You need to either download ID3 tag editing software (which you should be able to find for free, or at least a trial version) and edit all of the ID3 tags at once to just have the same random album name so they show up in the playlist, or go through each ID3 tag individually in musicmatch and put in the correct album name. The former is most likely the easiest way. [ AGEHA's advice column | Ask AGEHA A Question ]
LoveNJstyle answered Monday October 24 2005, 4:11 pm: well i have a dell dj too and mine show up... i think it has to do with the actual dj tho or what you put on it. the jukebox doesnt cause problems for the most part. if it still has a warranty, send it back and have them check it out.
oh and to play all of them, put them on to one playlist...thats all i can think of.
goodluck! <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
