It is definitely normal for guys to ignore us. But it could be one of the two things. Either, one, he's really shy. Or, two, it's just a fling. There are a lot of guys that I know that are really sweet online but when I talk to them face to face we don't talk at all. But if you've known him for nine years, i'm guessing that he's just shy. When you're talking to him online, ask him about it. Who knows, maybe he IS shy.. but if he's not, he probably doesn't like you. I hope I helped.

He`s just nervous around you. A lot of guys are like that. Maybe try talking to him alone in person. Try to work things out, ask him if he`s shy. All you can really do is try to talk to him. Good luck ;; [♥]Alma

He's probably just shy, it's a lot easier to talk to someone when you're not face to face with them. So what he's doing is pretty normal.

Try starting a conversation with him and see what happens, he should start being less shy if he sees that you're making an effort.

Good luck.
