Then i blow-dry my hair by blow drying it in sections. First i would put it in a half-ponytail and blowdry it. After it is dry i pull more wt hair down from each side then i blow-dry it until it is dry. Then i pull the rest and blowdry it. When you straighten it you use the same procedure as the blow-drying. That way your layers are being straighten also. Dont use hair spray to keep it straight that actually makes it worse. When you straighten it you want to wait until it gets retty hot. when you get each starnd you should go very slowly that takes most of the frizz out if you go slow. Take pretty small stands at least just not to big. [ Advicelady6798's advice column | Ask Advicelady6798 A Question ]

br0ken_x_smile answered Thursday October 20 2005, 5:23 pm: Use biosilk. Put it in when youre hair is damp, after you have blow dried it a little& Then sraighten it. And then if its still fizzy add a little more biosilk. It works really good even though it's kindof expensive.
LiLReBeL6907 answered Thursday October 20 2005, 5:12 pm: Alright when you are straightening your hair, not only are you damaging your hair strands, you are drying them out causing major frizz, broken ends, and split ends! Before styling, wash you hair with a shampoo snd conditioner especially formulated to help dry hair and scalp. Then deep condition your hair with a deep conditioning serum, like Aussie 3-minuite revival conditioner. Afterwards, lightly towel dry your hair and let it set in the towel and air dry for about 15-20 minutes. (This will mean less heat damage from your hair dryer, since it will take less time to dry.) When your hair is damp, spray a leave-in conditioner and shine spray. Try anything by Pantene and John Frieda. After this apply a straightening cream before you dry. This will definently help with the uncontrolable frizz. Then dry your hair and straighten as usual. Make sure you are using a straightening iron with gold plates. It heats up faster and lasts longer, meaning less wear-and-tear on your strands. (Another option is to go to a salon and pay to have your hair professionally straightened. It is like perming, but straightening instead. It last about 6 months.) Hoep I helped. ~Sherah [ LiLReBeL6907's advice column | Ask LiLReBeL6907 A Question ]
