Question Posted Wednesday October 19 2005, 7:42 pm

I am so confused right now. My science grade keeps slipping lower and lower. I am trying to pick it up, but it just isnt working. I am doing the extra credit, doing the labs as well as I can, but it isnt the material I dont understand, it is the work I am turning in late! Oh I just dont know what to do...there isnt any more extra credit! HELP!

You should stop and think why this is happening..i know it sounds dumb...but it may work....is there something going on between family and friends? Ok, if not then talk to your teacher, he/she will probably understand you and try to help make your grades higher and help you learn the material. they want to help you..believe me it is weird, but they do. Always be on task w/ your work it can affect your future....if you have 2 many after-school activites...cut short some and always study the hardest parts first earlier in the day. you will be more awake then l8er at night.
Biggest advice: NEVER STRESS OUT! It only makes you more worried etc.
Hope all works out!

Well, in the long run, you need to get your assignments done on time. Yes, I sound like captain obvious in stating this, but hear me out.
I was a lot like you, about 2 years ago with my freshman year. I procrastinated majorly. Most assignments did not get turned in, and I struggled to stay over the border... I eventually got B's because I'm a good test take, that's all. Anyways, I got a motivation, which was to do well in school so that my parents would let me do the musical again. Last year by doing that, I ended up with 4 As and 4 Bs. I went from a B student to and A-B student. This year, I have 6 As.
Moral is that you got to get the work in on time. Get something to motivate you, something you want. Talk to your parents, and strike a deal. "I'll make you a deal. If I get 6 A's this MP, then you let me buy that guitar I want. If not, then I will never bother you about it again." I don't know, something big that you want and they don't.
For this marking period, catch up and do the best you can until the end. It closes out in 3 weeks anyways, and you have a fresh new slate to work off of.

awee poor thing.. you should really talk to the teacher let him/her know whats going on and dont be afraid to tell them that you dont understand the stuff you guys are learning because if you dont then when it comes to tests and exams ect. your not goingg to do well and its gonna make your grade worse and worse so you have to be respondsible take controll before it gets out of hand...
