The most important thing about friendships, though, (and relationships for that matter) is communication. If you dont like something that's going on in your friendship, you most definitely need to talk to her about it. She can't fix the problem if she doesn't know there is one. Don't worry about her getting mad at you when you talk to her. Just tell her that you don't want to start a fight; you just want to know why she's doing the things that she's doing. You have every right to know why she's talking about you, so you have every right to ask.
As far as the boyfriend thing goes. . . even if this isn't her first boyfriend, she is going to change the way she acts for a little while; not around you, but around everyone. Her change in behavior since she got her boyfriend doesn't have anything to do with you, or him really. Girls do that because it means they're entering a new phase of their lives or they have someone new around and they're still adjusting.
Bottom lines: Talk to her about the problem you have with her saying things about you behind your back. Tell her it upsets you.
