i really like randy, but my friend becca likes him too. randy has never really had a girlfriend before..except in 7th grade, but that hardly counts. the other day in gym, i was pretty much all over him and he was flirting right back. i think he might like me, but what do i do about becca? she was in my gym class and she asked me later if anything was going on between me and randy. i told her no...cause nothing is..yet. she liked him before me..so i feel really bad. we've been best friends since 3rd grade and i dont want to lose her. any advice?

you should ask her if it would be ok with her if u go out with him and if she gos like yea and she seems sad then i dont think that u should go out with him or ask randy if he can find a friend for becca

it's really tough when you and your friend like the same guy. you should be considerate of her feelings, but at the same time you cannot live your life pleasing everyone else but yourself. I think you need to find out how much becca likes randy and let her know that you like him. See how she reacts and if she takes it a little harsh then you should stick with your friend...never let a guy come between two best friends. Guys will come and go but you are going to always need a friend. Here's a little saying to help remind you of frienship vs. guys:

Its really hard to like the same guy as your friend, and this situation does not exactly have to do with who laid eyes on him first. It has to do with how much respect you have for your best friend. I think that you need to let your friend know that you really Randy too, and it would hurt your feelings if she dated him, which is why you wouldn't date him. But, your friend did have a crush on him before you, so, you can either tell her it would hurt you, or you could let her and Randy have a chance if he happens to like her. But, you should tell her that you like him too, and that you wouldn't take him, and that you just wanted to let her know that you like him too. Sometimes, if somebody says they like someone, they'll think that they'll be flirting with them like you did, but you need to assure her that you wouldn't hurt her. But, really really try finding some other guys around, because, its not good if this repeaditly happens.
