Generally, when you go a few months without giving advice, your quality generaly diminished. I have taken 1 week breaks from my last site, and it usually took about 10-15 answers to get back into my groove.
It's also a lot of what kind of questions you answer. Like, I love mental health issues, just because I know so much about them. Mental health, suicide, cutting, those are my strengths. Yet, this site rarely has those types of problems, so when I do find one to answer, I have more difficulty answering it than I used to.
Just drop off in my inbox your column ID, and I'll take a look at it.

People have problems reading things they don't want to hear. So they rate you that low. Sometimes people can't handle the blunt and honest opinion of another. As long as you feel that you're doing alright, don't worry about it.

I'd view your column, but I have no idea how.

First. Anyone below a L2 moderator will be unable to answer your question. You need to add links or at least tell them who you are. :)

I will leave that up to you. You can go back and add it on to your question.

It looks to me like for the most part you are doing OK with your answers.

The songs question that got you the 2, next time add the comment about how we shouldn't be telling you songs until the end of the question. If you are going to answer anyway, then just leave the comment off all together.

Some things just make people mad right off the bat.

You will get the occasional 1 or 2. We all do. Don't let it discourage you or make you doubt your answers.

A lot of the time people are just looking for someone to agree with them. That's not a good thing to do. It may get you a 5, but it isn't really giving advice is it.

I do want to give you some advice on rating. Do not give everybody 5's all the time. Ever. Rate them based on the advice they give you.

We like to have good advisers here and when everybody just gives 5's all the time...well, its hard to spot the ones that need to find something else to do. :)

I think you are doing okay. Your advice isn't unreasonable or anything. The questioner just didn't happen to agree with your answer. Don't take it to heart. Be honest with your answers. :)
