Question Posted Thursday September 22 2005, 1:03 am

Hello, everyone! I just joined the site last night and wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Bookman and I came here from another site where I cruised under the same name. The reason I chose Bookman is that I love to read. It is very hard to find me at leisure or commuting on the bus without a book or other reading material at hand.

I'm 46, brown hair, blue eyes and have a great sense of humor. I'm also single and looking. I've been told I'm a better than decent cook, so I'm attending a culinary school to become a certified prep cook. The only real difference between me and a regular prep cook will be that piece of paper. I need it to help me get a job in the Seattle area. It's a tough job market here.

I've also been told I give pretty good advice, so bring it on. I relate better to the older crowd, but the younger ones are more than welcome. I'll be happy to give you the benefit of my experience, and as egotistical as it sounds, I have a lot of experiences others may not have. I have led a full, exciting life! My specialties are cooking, books, spirituality and relationships. I threw the random weirdo into my profile just for fun.

Anyway, that's me! So here I am! Let's get this party started!

Well, the first thing you should know about Advicenators is that you did not just sumbit an *"ADVICE" question; therefore.. it has no business being on the site (thus, why it was immediately deleted).

However, since you're new.. we'll let that one slide. ;)

Welcome to the site; enjoy it!! I'm sure you'll do just fine. Some advice I can offer to you: please always use correct grammar and puncuation (As it appears you have, and that's appreciated. We like that around here.) Also, familiarize yourself with the FAQs:

Live it, love it, learn it - make it your religion.

Just a suggestion: It'd probably be a good idea to copy and paste what you've typed out above into your bio section on your "PROFILE SETTINGS" page ( few under your "INBOX"). This way, those who WANT to know about you.. CAN!

Goodluck to you! :D

Welcome to the site. I hope you enjoy your time here. Wow! Attending a culinary school to become a certified prep cook? That's awesome. I wish I could cook. You seem like a very interesting person.
