5K run/walk for funds

Hey advicenators!
have anyone ever organized a 5k run/walk to raise funds for anything?? i want to organize one in my hometown to help hurricane Katrina victims with the money going to the red cross. i dont have a lot of money to start off with and i was hoping someone could help me find a place, time and give me some pointers. thanks! <3

hey! i'm a senior in high school and i'm currently doing my grant for a concert to raise funds for also hurricane katrina. what you should do is talk to some companies in your community and see if you could get granted for this fundraiser you'll be doing. bring it up at city hall bring the idea to the table and see if you community can help you out in anyway. if you need anymore help just leave something in my inbox.
