Question Posted Saturday September 17 2005, 10:19 am

I have been talking to this guy on the internet for three months now and we both really like each other. I am a sixteen year old female. My parents don't know about him because they would completely freak out if they found out that I have given this guy my cell phone numberand the state in which I live. I want to tell them but I don't want to have to break up my relationship with him just because they don't trust people. What should I do?

you say you know him over the web. but all he is concered he could be some rapist or physco trying to get you to like him and meet him. people put up fronts over the web to seem like something they are not, he could be fat, ugly, mean, racist etc. so dont be a fool and give him too much info because you can get hurt over these type of stuff. hey im only 15 but i know where danger lurks and that one of them.

Oh god no!!! Not the state in which you currently reside!!! I mean, that's terrible! Like he could find you if you gave him the hint you live in New York! OH NOES!!!!!!!!!!

ANyways. Net realtionships dont work out. You'll last for at most a year, just in hope that something will spark. Probably wont though.

Also, he's probably just some creepy guy out to get you, rape you, kill you, and throw you in a ditch on the side of Highway 113.

I definitely know what you mean. My parents are assholes like that, they do not like me talking to people online and giving them information about myself. Ironically, I spend a lot of time on chatrooms and forums and have many close online friends. I personally wouldn't tell them if I were you. Is it really worth losing contact with someone who you would have never met where you live?

all i have to tell you is this isnt a good idea. trust me i have eben through it all. all it does is lead into trouble. you dont noe who this guy really is. he can be a rapper acting like a 17 year old. Never trust a guy liek that. but if u want to you can meet up with him but NOT by yourself, take a friend or soemone you trust with you to go and see him. i hope this helps and good luck.
