13!Femalle I got caught stealing from a drugstore. My parents don't know. I feel bad about it and really regret it. I said sorry and paid for the item but I haven't wen't back there since this was in June. I want to go back to the drugstore; When should I go back there? Do you think they called the cops?(I've learned my lesson and will NEVER steal again.)
angelmcclain answered Friday September 16 2005, 5:25 pm: i did the same thing when i was young, and you know the best thing i did to help myself out of the embarassment, it dosent sound like it would, but it did. i wrote a letter to the business from which i stole telling them how sorry i was and how i hope they can forgive me and just really wrote down what i felt, then i hand delivered it and stood there while they read it. maybe this could work for you, it couldnt hurt to try. K2204 answered Thursday September 15 2005, 9:45 pm: probably not because it was the first time, and because you appoligized and paied for it. most of the time they can tell if you steal alot, or if you really do feel horrible!
if you ever need anything else, please ask me! I would be more than happy to help you with anything!
GANGStAhBAbiiEx answered Thursday September 15 2005, 8:37 pm: yea i think if you want to go back there go back unless they told you not to come back. They probably didn't call the cops if they haven't contacted you yet.
emster812 answered Thursday September 15 2005, 8:06 pm: If you paid back and all I think you should go back whenevr you need to. If you do it again they probably wont allow you to go back,
As bad as this may seem to you, you probably need to tell you parents. The longer you wait to tell them the more hurt they will be. IMagine you never tell them and you are older and they find out. They probably will never trust you again (this saying if you are like 30)
Good Luck though!

PS if they called the police i think they would have gotten in contact/run into you by now [ emster812's advice column | Ask emster812 A Question ]

PolkaDotsRHawt answered Thursday September 15 2005, 7:57 pm: If it were me, the next time I go to the store, if they still remember it was me or give me funny looks. I'd formally apologize. And make sure they see you buy the items and stuff. Don't wear baggy clothes, or clothes with many pockets(big jackets) because they'll thing you might not be done with your stealing career. That's what I THINK [ PolkaDotsRHawt's advice column | Ask PolkaDotsRHawt A Question ]
AMPLIFYxMYxSILENCE answered Thursday September 15 2005, 7:20 pm: i think you've given it enough time. i have gotten caught before, and it's really hard because you stop & think & you have NO idea what made you do it in the first place. but, honestly... the drugstore can't hold it against you FOREVER. so, don't worry :)
Curemysadness answered Thursday September 15 2005, 7:18 pm: Don't be afraid to go back. I mean the people probably don't even remember what you look like. They might, but I'm sure it would be fine for you to go back. (Unless they told you not to come back) They probably didn't call the cops if they haven't contacted you yet, since it was so long ago. I got caught stealing from school (stupid I know) but the cops spoke to me about a week later. I got a $208.50 fine, and there was a chance that I may have had to do community service, but I ended up not having to do that. Thank God! But anyways, if you are scared to go back b/c of what people might say or whatever, dye your hair or something. I know it sounds stupid, but that's all I can think of if you are scared. New people might work there too, so don't be afraid. Go alone or with some friends or something, which ever makes you feel more comfortable! Good luck!
