my sun conure *bird* squacks so much! its so loud and we cant stop him... any ideas to get him to quiet down? i dont want a website i want real advice

He might be lonely. I would give him mor attention or mabe a friend and bigger cage. My friend put hers in a outside cage that was huge that you could walk in and it was happy. It didn't make as much noise then. So I would try a bigger cage. THen maybe if he keeps on find a friend.

he might just be lonely and need attention. try moving into a room where people hang out alot. they can go crazy if you leave them all alone too much. make sure you let him out of his cage everyday. ive read that buying them new toys from time to time helps too

I have a quaker parrot and we just put a towel over his cage when hes being too noisy. It makes him think it is night and he hushes right up!

when he squarks is it at nite or during the day. try putting a blanket over his cage that will block out the light which hopefully he should sleep. Thats what we do with larry our cockatoo

I've heard that putting a cover (like a towel or something) over the cage can quiet a bird down and that certainly used to work for my mother's budgie.
