Hey.
Im starting high school next year. I dont think ill know anybody because im moving. Not far away really, but a different city && school district. I'm really shy at school && around new people. But around my friends & crazy and outgoing. I want to make a good first impression when I start school. I want to step out of shell & be outgoing & popular ( not bitchy popular just the loving popular with tons of friends) What should I do? & How should I make new friends? Thanks! I rate High! <3
what you should probably do is, join as many school clubs as possible. do what you think might interest you and what might get you closer to people. If you aren't an out going person then make small talk in class. such as, ask a random person for the time. Laugh in class when others are laughing to (even it's not funny). It lets people know you aren't stuck up and you do have a personality. Nobody likes people who are quiet or reserved it makes them seem stuck up.
Try to push your self into doing something positive that you wouldn't useually do. Besides no one knows you, so you can now be anyone you always wanted to be. =) [ Sassycat911's advice column | Ask Sassycat911 A Question ]

Anyhoo, I would say don't overdress for the first day of school cause if you like year slutty clothes, they might think you're one ( I'm not saying you are cause you arn't it was for an example) Remember: You are what you wear (sometimes its not true so dont depend on it hehe)
As for the friend things, try finding out whos popular and whos not. Hang out with the popular people but you are shy right?? So try finding someone popular thats like you (shy) but then tell them once they know you you are wild and outoing..
