its been 12 days since my last period and ive been having cramps for like a week and i still have them. its my first year, so could i be getting it. or whats going on?

Maybe give some free advice about: Health? andhearts answered Tuesday September 6 2005, 12:27 pm: its totally normal. ive had mine for a little over a year...and they still arent on schedual...if your getting the cramps...that probably means your GOING to get it soon. but sometimes i JUST get the cramps and dont get the actual period. but that was like a while ago. i usallly get it now. i know it hurts, but in your first year you usally get the cramps alot. and then they kindof mellow down but still hurt. i know, it sux. sry this wasnt the best advice i could of given you...but its all i have right now because im in a rush. well, good luck. and its totally normal, nothing is wrong. if you have anyother questions, just ask. much love, erica.
and p.s this is nothing to go to the doctor about...the guy doesnt know what he is talking about. and your only like 12, 13 right?...so my bets you dont even go to a g. doctor. GDROB answered Monday September 5 2005, 7:12 pm: Sounds like you have menstruation happening for sure. While not a girl I know a lot about female issues. It is normal to cramp before or after a period. However, I really am not sure nor do I think cramping for a week is normal--do not freak out. Ask your mother about this to calm your fears. At the very highest level this ought to go is a drug store for menstrual
