i would say to wear it straight with a side part. or a messy bun
just pull up your hair and threw the ponytail once then the second time dont pull your hair all the way threw.. i hope i helped. have a good first day of school! ^_^ ]
Maybe spirals for a fun, fall look. Different curlers like 'rag rollers' can get this look done REALLY easily, but for regular curlers, start wrapping a one-inch section of hair at one end of the curler and rap it around like a candy cane. From top to bottom of the curler. That would look REALLY cute with the outfit you chose & the highlights.
Scrunching your hair is ALSO one of my fave recommendations. For thick hair, you may want a mousse rather than a gel. =D Also, make sure your hair isn't totally soaking wet, or it won't work. Just make sure it's DAMP.

Anything down, because it sets a good serious first impression. Try curls, waves (braid your hair and let it loose), or straighten it. You can take all this 'down' looks a little fancier and put maybe little gold or silver clips just in the front to pull a little hair out of your face but not up or anything. These clips should be just like fancier bobby pins, only straight instead of squiggly like bobby pins are. ]
straighten it, thick looks best dtraightened, it thins it out where as thin hair should be curled to make it look fuller ]
