Maybe spirals for a fun, fall look. Different curlers like 'rag rollers' can get this look done REALLY easily, but for regular curlers, start wrapping a one-inch section of hair at one end of the curler and rap it around like a candy cane. From top to bottom of the curler. That would look REALLY cute with the outfit you chose & the highlights.

Scrunching your hair is ALSO one of my fave recommendations. For thick hair, you may want a mousse rather than a gel. =D Also, make sure your hair isn't totally soaking wet, or it won't work. Just make sure it's DAMP.

<333 Hope ya like.

Anything down, because it sets a good serious first impression. Try curls, waves (braid your hair and let it loose), or straighten it. You can take all this 'down' looks a little fancier and put maybe little gold or silver clips just in the front to pull a little hair out of your face but not up or anything. These clips should be just like fancier bobby pins, only straight instead of squiggly like bobby pins are.

straighten it, thick looks best dtraightened, it thins it out where as thin hair should be curled to make it look fuller
