She or he will probably just check that your general health is okay, and they might even be able to estimate how long you'll have to wait before your period shows up. Right now you can wait if you aren't too worried, but if you haven't gotten your period within the next 6 months or so, a 20 minute appointment can help you find some answers.
In the meantime, you can keep track of your moods and any possible cramps or possible period things in a calender. If you start seeing a pattern or getting cramps in your lower back and abdomen, your period is probably fairly close.
