i need help! computer wizards out there come to my aid

my computer is like really busted today! the shift key is deactivated> so commas look like this: < and periods look like this: > and if you want to press the number four
it looks like this: $
and the apostrophes look like this: " and i cant type capital letters
because of this i cant check my email! or do anything else!
its also constantly highlighting text and deleting it so its taking me a long time to write this question> can somebody help me? do i have a virus? trojan? what is it? help!
Napalm350z answered Friday August 26 2005, 8:11 pm: it could be "stick-keys" just restart your computer. I hate stickkeys cause alot of times i'll sit on shift and then it'll come on. Make sure you don;t eat or drink by the keyboard or mouse.Orr, you may have a virus. I would try to get it repaired as soon as possible. babigirl500 answered Friday August 26 2005, 3:18 pm: this happened to me a while ago..its not a virus its cause i spilt(sp) water on the keyboard and it cause some keys to not work and than like all of them didnt, maybe someone did that in your household...so unforntually your goin to need to get a knew keyboard probably...
