Yeast Infection? Earlier this week, I was diagnosed with a yeast infection. I've never had one before. My vaginal area is itching and burning and just plain painful. I understand that those are all normal symptoms of the infection. However, my tush area is now itching, burning and painful as well.
Is this a normal part of a yeast infection? How quickly should the medicine start providing some relief? Are there any home remedies or over the counter medications that I can take that will ease the symptoms while I'm waiting for the medicine the doctor gave me to take affect?
Many thanks.

yah thats normal.depends on what the docter gave you but it should start to help pretty quickly.and drink a TON of cranberry juice.it helps the infection go away faster.
hope i helped XoXo ]
yes, it is a normal part of a yest infection. Depending on what medication the doctor gave you, and I'm going to assume it was diflucan or a generic form of it, it can take a couple of days before you see relief. I'm surprised that your doctor did not give you an external cream to ease the discomfort of the itching and burning.
Personally, when I'm itching and burning, I use A&D ointment. I've tried everything else over the counter and nothing but that seems to work. Plus it doesn't have all those nasty unknown ingredients in it like vagisil or monistat has since it was made especially for babies and the rashes that they get. Make sure to do a water rinse (do not use soap), pat dry and then apply the A&D. It'll keep the area dry while returning the natural emmolients to your skin.
You might eve nwant to pick yourself up some sugar-free yogurt the next time your at the store. Yogurt replaces the bacteria that combats yeast and restores a normal balance.
Hope this helps, and if your symptoms persist after a couple of days call your doctor and tell him/her that you need an external medicine. Good luck. ]
yeah sadly it is a part of the infectoin, the medicine should begin to help in like 1-2 days, drinking cranberry juice always helps!
hope i helped!
