i have three daughters who always seem to suffer from headlice, the doctor has gave me some shampoo to treat it which is very good but i can't seem to get rid of the little white eggs, could you please suggest some-thing, thanks.

If the chemical shampoo doesn't work, the best way to get rid of them is to use a natural remedy such as a shampoo containing tee-tree (look in your pharmacy for something labelled a natural headlice remedy) and then just to comb them out with a special very fine comb. This takes a reasonable amount of time and needs to be repeated several times to make sure you've removed all the lice and eggs. If your daughters have long and thick hair it's difficult to do it really thoroughly, so take your time and repeat as necessary so that you get rid of all of the eggs, including dead ones. Usually the doctors give you like a special comb to get the eggs out, so...you might wanna ask for one of those. the shampoo doesnt kill the eggs, it only kills the adults,
yea...my sister had it once

Wash your couches or clean them somehow. Get all their toys especaially stuff animals and dolls washed. ALL they're clothes needs to be wash and throw away your old brushes, combs, picks, and hair accessories and get new ones. [ margarita_luvs_ya's advice column | Ask margarita_luvs_ya A Question ]

Bergy413 answered Wednesday August 17 2005, 6:20 pm: This isin't exactly an answer to the question but kind of applying to it. I used to go to a school where me and my sister's would always get headlice. We used to not go to that great of a school so alot of the people had headlice and we always got it from them. I'm not sure if that would be the cause though. My mother always used to use a comb that would get most of the lice out. You can also try searching on the internet for ways to get rid of headlice. I hope this advice helped [ Bergy413's advice column | Ask Bergy413 A Question ]
