Ipod Mini

Today I got a Ipod Mini. I installed all the software - and it all works. But when I plug in my ipod to put music on it, the computer doesn't recognize it or anything. How do I get the computer to recognize it?

theres this thing on windows media player, that recognizes any software..maybe you should try it, it's called playforsure.
