i was wondering how i use paypal. i want to use it on my xanga so ppl can send me donations but i was wondering if it cost me anything just to have the account and if i can do it with the basic personal one that i have. please give me any other info that you have on it too to help me. the web site just confused me.

Draak answered Monday August 8 2005, 9:56 am: Paypal does not cost anything to use unless you are opening up a business or merchant account. You do have to have either a credit card or chacking/savings account in order to use it though. Paypal handles online transactions, it is not a bank; so you need a place where the money goes. You also need a valid e-mail address to use and probably your parents permission if you aren't 18.
EDIT (in response to feedback): If you are purchasing from a seller on Ebay, then you don't have to do anything else; that is unless the seller requires you to be a verified user of Paypal. In order to sell on Ebay you need to be a verified user. In order to have a verified account through Paypal you have to have a checking or savings account set on your Paypal account.
