Although they are the lowest levels they are the most competitive levels in the country and a lot of effort needed to do well in these sections. Pre-level is a competitive level only, in other words they do go to the regional competition and compete against other gymnasts but they cannot go through to circle competition and therefore cannot earn their regional colors. In the levels 1 to 3 sections gymnasts can go through to circle and therefore earn their regional colors and can qualify at circle to go through to nationals. Gymnasts compete in various age groups within these levels. Level 4 and level 5 (artistic gymnastics). Gymnasts who reach these levels are considered above average and a lot of hard work and commitment is needed to excel in these levels. In these levels gymnasts can obtain there regional colours if selected at the regional competition to represent their region at circle from circle they can qualify to go through to nationals. Level 6 and level 7 (artistic gymnastics). Gymnasts who reach these levels are considered above average and a lot of hard work and commitment is needed to excel in these levels.
