There is this guy from my school and church that i have liked for 6 yrs and he knows that i like him. I need to know if there is any right way to approach him without making an idiot out of myself.

Does he like you too? Maybe you should ask around first and find out who he likes. If he has absolutely no interest in you, then there's really no point in wasting your time on him. If you think he might like you, try to get to know him better so you'll have things to talk about. Next time you guys are together, (it will probably be in a group situation) try to open up to him a little bit. It starts with simply saying "hi" and then hopefully that will turn into a conversation. Good luck!
