What you do is: First, realize you're not ALONE. We have ALL been there during different times in our life to various degrees. Next, you should try and find what the main think you're down about is. Is it your weight? The way you look? Family issues? Etc. You should try working on these issues. Some things you could do would be to write your feelings in a daily jornal, talk to a trusted, knowledgeable friend or adult, pick a need hobby, etc. Just allowing yourself to sit there and make no progress is only going to overtime make things worse for you. As hard as it may be, you should try focusing on the positives. Get some faith. I'm not saying throw yourself to God or whomever you may believe in, if anything, I am just saying have faith in SOMETHING. For everyone it is different. Whatever you do, don't hurt yourself. I know you probably will hear that a lot, but trust me, it solves NOTHING. Ie: Don't become a cutter or turn to drugs. Surround yourself with positive things and people. The school year is just around the corner..get involved in some new groups, make some new friends. Get new clothes. Get a new hairstyle. Anything. Just mix it up. Obviously, leaving things the way they are aren't working for you. If I were in your position, which I can honestly say I have been..I would say the best advice is don't allow yourself to be vulnerable to all the wrong things. Don't turn to a guy or people that are going to mistreat you jusy to get a fake "high". I think you should start off with the journal idea..you could write it anyway you'd like. Poem, song, essay--your choice. Then, I would pick a new hobby. Like, desgin or something that suits you. I would also make a list DAILY of the things you have to be thankful for. In time, you'll see that as days go by you have more and more on your list. Also, I'd talk to someone abut your problems. That's the biggest mistake people make. We tend to hold it all in and then it gerts to be too much for one person and we blow. If you feel like there's noone for you to talk to, I'd be more than happy to talk to you or provide you with some help hotlines. Let me know and remember, there's always an upside to being down. :)
