Hey, I'm am musician, and i really luv what i play! But there is one problem. I don't know if i should do music in the future. I mean, I would luv to be a performer and travel, but only a small handful out of millions of musicians have that oppurtunity. Of course, being a teacher or professor would be more reasonable. However, I'm rlly confused if should pursue this career i absolutely LUV that might not provide enough for me, or to get a "real" job and just do music as a hobby. thnx!

Being an artist and musician is extremely hard because you are always traveling and playing. You have to be physically fit to play tours and stuff. Here's a quote that might help from Leonid Kogan (violinist) "where the talent is, the career will follow". If your instrument practicly defines who you are (like me!!!) then you won't even want to do anything else. To put it simply, you won't be satisfied with anything but music. If that describes you then you should probably become a pro. Yeah, you're guaranteed a pay-check with a teaching job but usually you get that more after you've had your career out there as a concert soloist. That isn't the case in everything but right now if you have time, just think about it!!! Explore your options and just have fun. Hope i Helped!!!
