When you have long hair, you have to make the bun part bigger because well, you have more hair. What i do is this:

1- Make a pony tail like you usually do

2- When it comes time to but the band on flip the ponytail toawrds the front of your head.

3- Make the bun

4- Distribute extra hairs around your bun so it looks even

Remember- they're supposed to look sloppy!

"I confess I brush my hair, but I don't straighten it up when it come's to messy buns!

To make a nice messy bun:

1. Comb your hair (big!)
2. Pull your hair up like you would with a ponytail.
3. Twist your hair at the top.
4. Tie the your hair with 2 elastic bands.
5. Make sure little tiny hairs are sticking out."

yes...my hair is really long too...you could try putting half up in a bun or a long bun with all your hair and put that bun into a smaller one and so on...or if you want to wear your hair down and keep it out of you face, is wearing a headband from like ltd 2 or claires and it will stay ou of you face...hope ihelped
