If you want something very new, try Daft Punk. That is way different. But good. It is Funk/Techno.
If you want some lighter stuff, Jack Johnson is good.
You also might like Relient K.
Or listen to some classic rock! Queen is awesome.

I like the band "Never Heard Of It". They played at Warp Tour about three years ago. I think they're great. You could also try "Bowling For Soup". Their new stuff is gay. They USED to be good, about three or four years ago in the coffee shops is when they were REALLY rockin'. I suggest you look into their album entitled, "Let's Do It For Johnny". You can hear 30 sound clips of each track on Amazon.Com. You could also check into "2Gether" - they were a spoof band from the MTV hit television show a few years ago. They do make their own music, and they happen to be one of my FAVORITES! BUUUUUUUUUUTTTT, my ALL TIME FAVORITE would definitely have to be "Savage Garden" - now THEY'RE simply remarkable.
