Mackenzie answered Thursday July 21 2005, 4:43 pm: Well if you're on the YOUNGER side, the best thing I can suggest would be delieveRing news papeRs, and maybe [if you'Re 14-15+]doing some woRk at a libRaRy oR animal hospital - though they may see that as volunteeR woRk and you wouldn't be paid.. HoweveR, you'll neveR know until you ask! Also, you should check with any little local antique stoRes oR Mom & Pop pizza houses. Also, I know Wendy's and Subway hiRe at *15. I would say tRy theRe, but being summeRtime, I'm shoRe they don't need any undeRage helpeRs, ya know?? Aside fRom that, theRe's babysitting. TRy making a bunch of flieRs and distRibuting them on the bullentin boaRds at youR closest couple of gRoceRy stoRes; fRee advceRtising -- that's what it's theRe foR. HoweveR, baby sitting is a seRious matteR. Make shoRe you know exactly how to peRfoRm CPR on infants and toddleRs in case of emeRgency, and once that is all settled, you can add that to youR Resume. Call them cRazy, but paRents aRe moRe likely to give you theiR business if they feel theiR child will be safe with you... How about selling things on EBAY? Also, lawn mowing! BIG money to be had theRe; geneRally $10.00 - $45.00 peR GOOD sized yaRd. Best of luck to you!! :D [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
