I have a keyboard and I wanted to start playing it. Can anyone tell me what the keys are for it? Like what each key is so i can look up tabs and stuff? THANKS! Ill rate.
Kr4z3y_Ch3lly answered Thursday July 21 2005, 5:28 am: yea..the keys starting from the far left go..
C, D, E, F, G, A, B
then they continue that pattern all the way to the end.
and the black keys. say the one diagnally up to the right from the c <--that one would be c# which is c sharp. so its really not that complicated. have fun. if you need any tabs i have some sites where you can find good tabs :]

However since my mom also played piano, I asked her to help me. If you can afford it, piano lessons are a great way to get a start. They teach you the basic notes, how to read music, correct hand posture, etc. Check your local phone book or ask someone you know that plays if they would consider giving you lessons.
Try these sites for wonderful information on piano. The second site provides free piano lessons online.
Tinkerbelle answered Tuesday July 19 2005, 10:55 am: i've played piano for four years, so if what you want are the keys, then:
the first white key directly to the left of two upper black keys is called C.
from then on, it's just D, E, F (F is directly to the left of the set of three black keys, just making sure we're on the same page), G, A, B, and then at the next set of two black keys is back to C.
it just goes like that all the way down the keyboard, it's not too hard.
if you're wanting to play, most beginning songs start at middle C, which, obviously, is the C in the middle.
i'm sorry if that isn't what you wanted or you wanted me to go in more detail, just drop me another question if you need help! [ Tinkerbelle's advice column | Ask Tinkerbelle A Question ]
