It just depends. They go to whomever the court views as the more suitable parent. Whomever has the most stable job, cleanest environment, lives closest to the school, doesn't have a drug problem, doesn't abuse the child, can always afford food and heat, and so on. Usually.. the Mother's have the right of way; courts lean towards them automatically, but if the mom isn't suitable [because she has the above problems] they will place the child with the father. It really just depends, Hun. :)
