Well, first of all... it sounds like you have to change your mind set. You can't show that you are afraid to talk to her. Just be confident... and you shouldn't care what anyone else thinks of you or what she thinks of you. Don't be afraid that she'll think you are weird or something like that. You just have to be confident and be yourself. Next time you see this girl look confident and stand up tall... maybe if you don't want to talk to her right away just smile and wave or something. When you finally think you can talk to her, keep your confidence up and approach her. Just be like "hey, how's it goin? I think I know you from...." ask her how her summer's been, what she's been up to... if she seems into you (smiles when talking, touches you when talking, looks into your eyes, seems flirty) then go on and ask for her number or sn or something.
