False Alarm

Question Posted Tuesday June 28 2005, 10:52 pm

Um, I recently had sex with this guy. I thought I was pregnant for a while, I hadn't had my period. I told him I was, and it freaked him out.
I went to a clinic today, and found out I'm not. I was kind of harsh on this guy because he thought he was just going to use me as a one-night stand. Well, as gay as it is, I'm starting to get feelings for him. And he's going to think I was lying, when I honestly did think I was pregnant. I want to apologize and ask to get to know him a little more. I know I scared him and I basically want to get on his good side again. What do I do?

why does the guy get freaked out and isnt supportive when he def helped you have sex and should take responsibility. i dont like it that he flipped out..i mean he thought of nobody but himself..he should have considered your feelings bc you were flipping out and your the one that would be carrying the baby!
so thats something that would def turn me off..not taking responsibility for actions..and just using you for ass..he probably just wanted you for sex and thats it..if he wanted more he wouldnt act like he only wanted a 1 night stand.
i know feelings get involved in hookups..but def consider what i told you and see if your feelings are so strong...
there are guys who you desserve out there...guys that will treat you right..dont settle for this jerkoff (my advice anyway)..if you wanna go for him..then you go for him..just be careful

Thank goodness. Be careful next time. You guys should have been scared, lesson learned...

I think you should go ahead and talk to him. I don't really think you should be sorry for being upset. You are the one who would have been paying the highest price if things had turned out differently. Learn from that, okay. Your life would have taken a drastic turn. Guys get off pretty easy. That is why you need to be in control over what you let happen and when.

Did the clinic give you birth control pills or anything? If not, try to get a Rx before it happens again. Use condoms too. If he decides he doesn't want to be with you anymore then he isn't worth the trouble. Be sure of the guys true feelings in the future. Sorry this sounds kind of like a lecture. Just don't be taken advantage of again, okay? :)
