Hi,

I have a question about antiobiotics. After the last day that you take them, how long does it take for the effect to wear off?

Hi. The answer to your question varries by the particular antibiotic involved and, to some extent, your body. Azythromycin (Zythromax), for example, can last in your system at therapeutic levels for 5 days after the last dose. Others can last only hours after the last dose. The best person to ask is the pharmacist who dispensed the drug. S/He can tell you how long the drug lasts in a person of average metabolism.
